YEG Peer Pool Meetup | Commonwealth Rec Centre

LOCATION, DATE & TIME
Commonwealth Recreation Centre – Monday August 4th 6pm-7pm
(public swim with climbing wall and waterslide, lane swim, and hot tub

Explore Edmonton swimming pools with peers who have spinal cord injuries
and other physical disabilities. Open to family and friends as well.
Float around and get active in water, learn from peers, adjust to be in water
safely with changes to physical abilities, and gain confidence.

Arrive early to get ready and in pool by start time

ACCESSIBILITY & ASSISTANCE
Lifeguards assist with getting in and out of pool using ramps or lifts.
Peer support requesting assistance and sharing strategies for floating
and moving in water.
Must bring your own support person if need assistance in changeroom
or 1:1 in the water (alternatively could arrive and leave in swimwear).
Edmonton Recreation Centres are free with leisure access pass, and
support person admission is free.
