Peer Pool Meet Up | ACT Aquatic Centre
Monthly peer meetup on the second last Tuesday of the month from
5:30pm-7:00pm. Meet at front desk at 5:30pm to get in pool for 6:00pm.
September 23d – MacEwan University Aquatic Centre
October 21st – Clareview Recreation Centre
November 18th – ACT Aquatic Centre
Explore Edmonton swimming pools with peers who have spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities. Open to family and friends as well.
Float around and get active in water, learn from peers, adjust to be in water safely with changes to physical abilities, and gain confidence.
Accessibility & Assistance Info:
• Lifeguards assist with getting in and out of pool using ramps or lifts.
• Must bring your own support person if need 1:1 assistance in the water or assistance in changeroom (alternatively could arrive and leave in swimwear).
• Edmonton Recreation Centers are free with leisure access pass, and support person admission is free.
