Save the date for the YEG Summer BBQ on Sunday, July 12th from 11am-2pm at William Hawrelak Park site#4!
You are cordially invited to the SCI-AB BBQ extravaganza, where good food, great company, and unforgettable memories await.
There will be food, snacks, beverages, music, entertainment, adaptive equipment, info sessions, try-it sessions, outdoor lawn games, arts + crafts and a chance to connect with community organizations! Come out and enjoy an afternoon of summer time fun with your loved ones, and friends old + new!
Outdoor games and activities will be available to use from 11am-2pm on a first come first serve basis! There will be a hand cycle and several roller sledges to try out courtesy of the Paralympic Sports Association (PSA).
There are accessible washrooms available nearby at the main pavilion, and there are a multitude accessible parking spaces!
Tentative Event Schedule:
11am-12pm: Welcome snacks and beverages
11:30am-12pm: Wheelchair Maintenance + Power Assist Info Session with Congdons Aids to Daily Living
12pm-1pm: BBQ lunch with sides
12:30-1:30pm: Popsicles and sweet treats
1pm-1:30pm: Bollywheels Adaptive Dance Try It Session
1:30pm: Door prize draw
2pm: Event wraps up
